Pat Sajak says "the worst has passed" after emergency surgery, and he expects to return to Wheel of Fortune soon

Sajak, who underwent emergency surgery Thursday for a blocked intestine, tweeted a health update on Monday: "I'm so grateful for all the good wishes during my recent illness," Sajak tweeted. "Happy to say that the worst has passed, and I'll be out of the hospital in a day of two, then back to work (unless @TheVannaWhite has completely taken over!)" Vanna White has been filling in for Sajak as host.
