Robbins' family announced the actor's death on Tuesday. Starting in 1963 when he was 6 years old through 1969, Robbins voiced Charlie Brown in six Peanuts specials, including A Charlie Brown Christmas and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Robbins, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, had a number of run-ins with the law in the past decade. He was arrested in 2013 and 2015 and served prison time from 2015 to 2019. “I would recommend to anybody that has bipolar disorder to take it seriously because your life can turn around in the span of a month like it did to me," he said upon his release from prison in 2019. "I came out of prison and I’m a better person for it. I’m much more humble and grateful and thankful that I lived through the experience.”
