The sultry blonde actress known for portraying bad girls died Friday at a Dallas nursing facility. Despite winning an Oscar in 1957 for best supporting actress, Malone’s career stalled for years before she landed the role as Constance MacKenzie, the “sexy but seemingly repressed small-town New England mother with a dark secret” on the hit ABC 1960s primetime soap opera, appearing on more than 400 episodes.
