Amazon, which already has streaming rights to the newly-canceled space drama's first three seasons, is near a deal to pick up The Expanse for a fourth season. That's according to The Hollywood Reporter's Lesley Goldberg, who emphasizes that a deal isn't yet done. She adds that, according to sources, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos "is a big fan of the book and was livid that the TV series went to NBCUniversal-owned Syfy. That loss move is said to have ignited Bezos' demand that Amazon Studios brass find TV's next Game of Thrones. Last Tuesday, heartbroken The Expanse fans flew a banner over Amazon Studios headquarters in Los Angeles with the hashtag "#SaveTheExpanse."
