According to The Huffington Post, NBC News had concerns about the sourcing in Farrow’s Weinstein reporting, even though the NBC News investigative reporter presented audio proof. The Huffington Post further reports that Farrow told “multiple people” early in his investigation that he was working on the story for NBC and that he had obtained several on-camera interviews. It’s unclear if those interviews were with any of Weinstein’s accusers. On Tuesday night on MSNBC, Rachel Maddow questioned Farrow on why the story was broken by The New Yorker, and not NBC News. "You would have to ask NBC and NBC executives about the details,” said Farrow. “I’m not going to comment on any news organization's story that they did or did not run."
