Kellerman, who died this morning after a battle with dementia, was best known for her portrayal of U.S. Army Maj. Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan in Robert Altman's 1970 Korean War black comedy film. (Loretta Swit played "Hot Lips" Houlihan in the M*A*S*H TV series.) Kellerman also had a memorable role as Dr. Elizabeth Dehner, a human Starfleet officer aboard the USS Enterprise, on the third episode of Star Trek. Over the past decade, Kellerman recurred on General Hospital as Constance Bingham and as Marc Maron's mom on Maron.
