The Oscar-nominated actor will star in a limited series based on the acclaimed novel from bestselling author Walter Mosley, who will write the TV adaptation. Jackson will play a 91-year-old man named Ptolemy Grey who is "forgotten by his family, by his friends, by even himself," per Deadline. "On the brink of sinking even deeper into a lonely dementia, Ptolemy experiences a seismic shift when he’s given the tremendous opportunity to briefly regain his memories, and uses this precious and fleeting lucidity to solve his nephew’s death and come to terms with his past." The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey is Jackson's second collaboration with Apple following the 2020 film The Banker. It also marks the second TV series Jackson has agreed to star in in as many weeks. Last week, Disney+ revealed that Jackson's Marvel character Nick Fury is getting an event mini series titled Secret Invasion.
