Gilbert, who created the CBS daytime talk show in 2010, said she's exiting to focus on her career as an actress and producer. “I’m nervous," she said. "This is hard to do and something that I have been struggling with for a while and going back and forth. But I’ve decided that it’s time for me to leave the show at the end of the season." Gilbert added: "If I’m being honest about it, I think my life was slightly out of balance and I wasn’t able to spend as much time with my three kids as I’d like, and time for myself." Gilbert's exit comes months after original co-host Julie Chen's departure, following her husband Les Moonves' sexual misconduct scandal. An emotional Sharon Osbourne expressed appreciation for Gilbert. “I want to say so many things to Sara," said Osbourne. "I’ve never worked with anyone for nine years before. I always get fired,” Osbourne joked. “This show has been on the air for nine years and we’ve had different ladies at this table but this, to me, has been the best table.”
