Sean Penn thinks there are “profound inaccuracies” in Netflix’s The Day I Met El Chapo docuseries

The three-part docuseries The Day I Met El Chapo: The Kate del Castillo Story is scheduled to premiere on Netflix Oct. 20, but Penn said through his spokesperson that he’d like to be involved somehow. The creator of the docuseries says he tried to get Penn’s involvement, but received no response. Penn’s spokesperson says: “Mr. Penn just saw it and hopes to have the opportunity to participate; there are profound inaccuracies and presumptions presented in Kate’s story.”
