Seth Meyers: There’s value in being “even-keeled” in calling out the Trump administration

Meyers Late Night has been hailed as the “calm in a political comedy storm” — and that’s intentional. “We’re aware that the packaging of our show is a comedy show — that’s where our backgrounds are, that’s where we want to be, is funny first,” says Meyers. “But at the same time, calling these the hallmarks of an authoritarian regime, I think there is some power to just saying it matter of fact without shaking my fist and whatnot.”
