Victor Hugo Green's The Negro Motorist Green Book, which inspired the much-criticized Best Picture Oscar-winning film Green Book, is the subject of Monday's documentary The Green Book: Guide to Freedom. While the film was criticized for being a "white savior" film with a white point of view, the documentary focuses on how the segregation-era guide helped black people traveling throughout America.
