Some American kids who watch Peppa Pig are speaking with British accents

The Wall Street Journal reports that children who binge-watched the British preschool animated series have begun speaking with British accents. One California kindergartner stunned her parents when she said in a polished British accent, “Mummy, are you going to the optician?” Parents are calling it "The Peppa Effect."
