Star Trek: Discovery teases time-jump 1,000 years in the future

Co-creator Alex Kurtzman called the upcoming season “the farthest that any Star Trek series has gone before" at Comic-Con, adding: "There will be things you recognize and don’t recognize." Kurtzman also said "we get to honor canon, but we get to shake up everything...we’re not erasing anything.”
