Carrie has been adapted several times, most famously in Brian De Palma's 1976 horror film starring Sissy Spacek as Carrie. Now MGM Television is working to adapt the King novel as a horror miniseries. "Though it’s still very early in the development process and there’s no script yet, sources say that this time around, telekinetic teen Carrie White will likely be played by either a trans performer or an actress of color rather than a cis white woman, as in past adaptations," reports Collider's Jeff Snider. FX has yet to confirm the adaptation.
