Moffat, whose tenure as Doctor Who boss ends this month, was asked in an interview with Radio Times why a female Doctor wasn’t tapped under his tenure, while his successor Chris Chibnall immediately picked Jodie Whittaker. Moffat said he didn’t want to alienate Brexit voters. “This isn’t a show exclusively for progressive liberals; this is also for people who voted Brexit,” he said. “That’s not me politically at all – but we have to keep everyone on board.”
