A new Emmy rule states that the best comedy series directing category must contain at least one single-camera show and one multicamera show. The six nominees announced Thursday morning were all single-camera shows. The TV Academy announced hours later that The Big Bang Theory director Mark Cendrowski was inadvertently left off the Emmy nominations announcement.
