When the two Netflix reality shows return later this spring, they'll have a release pattern that looks more like traditional broadcast TV. Season 2 of The Circle premieres Wednesday April 14 with four episodes, followed by four episodes the next week on April 21, and another four episodes on April 28, with the season finale scheduled for May 5. The four-week event comes after the first season aired in three drops starting in January 2020. Too Hot to Handle doesn't yet have a premiere date, but it's expected to premiere in June with multiple episodes released in batches over multiple Wednesdays. Netflix’s unscripted chief Brandon Riegg said Wednesdays are “getting real” this spring. “We’re also experimenting with the release format so you have time to dissect and dish on every step of the competition as it unfolds,” he said.
