The Crown will reportedly devote an entire episode to Princess Diana's Panorama interview with Martin Bashir

Despite Prince William lashing out earlier this year at the controversial 1995 interview as triggering a “false narrative” and holding “no legitimacy," the Netflix series plans to re-create the sitdown beetween Diana and now-disgraced journalist Bashir, reports The Sun. “The Crown’s creators see the interview as the keystone moment in series five," says a show insider, adding: "To the writers, the stormy marriage between Charles and Di led up to her outpouring on Panorama, and the aftermath of that decision defined her final months." As The Sun notes, The Crown's portrayal comes as Prince Harry and Meghan Marke have a rich megadeal with Netflix.
