Variety reports that the potential Flintstones reboot is in early development and that no network is attached. Warner Bros. Animation is teaming with Elizabeth Banks’ Brownstone Productions on the project, described as "a primetime animated adult comedy series based on an original idea featuring characters from The Flintstones." There have been several attempts in the past to reboot The Flintstones, which ran for 150 episodes on ABC between 1960 and 1966, including The New Fred and Barney Show and The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show. There have also been two live-action films. In 2011, Seth MacFarlane tried to bring The Flintstones back to the big scree, but that project didn't go forward.
