The 1997 Oscar Best Picture-nominated British comedy film, from director Peter Cattaneo, about a group of unemployed steel workers turned amateur strippers starring Robert Carlyle, Tom Wilkinson and Mark Addy is coming back as an eight-episode limited series. Carlyle, Wilkinson and Addy will reprise their roles along with other cast members. The show, which has begun shooting, will also introduce a whole new cast of children and grandchildren of the returning characters. Original producer Uberto Pasolini and Simon Beaufoy, who was nominated for Best Original screenplay, are also aboard. The Full Monty, made for $3.5 million and released in August 1997, became an international sensation, grossing $250 million globally and winning a Best Music Oscar.
