The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel to compete as a comedy series at the Emmys after fears it would be labeled a "drama"

Amy Sherman-Palladino's Amazon series took home the Golden Globe for best comedy series, but that didn't allay worries that the TV Academy would label it a drama. Mrs. Maisel would have had to compete with Game of Thrones and The Handmaid's Tale in the Outstanding Drama category. Instead, it'll compete in a field which won't include Veep for the first time in years.
