Eddie Vedder covered a Tom Petty song, but Petty was ignored, even though his music has been used in movies. Other omissions include Texas Chainsaw Massacre director Tobe Hooper, veteran French actor Jean Rochefort, James Bond film director Lewis Gilbert and film noir actress Peggy Cummins.
