Hours after a former Fox News contributor Cathy Areu's sexual harassment lawsuit was filed accusing him of sexual harassment, Carlson returned from a six-day vacation and immediately went to war with The New York Times (while ignoring the lawsuit), claiming that the newspaper was preparing to publish his home address in an upcoming article by reporter Murray Carpenter. Carlson posted Carpenter's picture and threatened to make public his home address, as well as the photographer and others working on the story for The Times. “They hate my politics, they want this show off the air,” he said of the “soulless robot editors of the New York Times.” The Times issued a statement denying Carlson's claim: “While we do not confirm what may or may publish in future editions, The Times has not and does not plan to expose any residence of Tucker Carlson’s, which Carlson was aware of before tonight’s broadcast,” said The Times. Meanwhile, according to Washington Post reporter Felicia Sonmez, "Twitter is already full of threatening messages aimed at Carpenter."
