The Gina Torres-led, Chicago-set Suits spinoff won't return for a second season after ending its freshman season run last month. "The news of the show’s cancellation is not surprising," says Deadline's Nellie Andreeva. "Despite the main character’s strong following among Suits fans, Pearson, which is darker than the long-running legal drama, was not able to attract wide audiences, ranking as USA’s lowest-rated original scripted series." Pearson began as a backdoor pilot on Suits. According to TVLine, Pearson's 10-episode freshman season averaged 513,000 total viewers, half of Suits' final season viewership but higher than Mr. Robot's final season.
