WGN America will rebrand as NewsNation

The name-change, which will take place March 1 as part of an expansion of news on the cable network, is a major step in making WGN America a viable cable news competitor to Fox News, CNN and MSNBC. So far, WGN America's flagship news show, NewsNation, is only averaging 100,000 viewers since launching last September.
