With the HBO series ending on Sunday, Goggins looks back at the Season 1 race controversy, calling the critics who raised the issue “pandering”: “This show is about two individuals who are deeply flawed,” he says, “deeply insecure and are looking to fill that void with the acquisition of power At the end of the day, the only way that you are going to find peace in this life is to examine your own life and live right. That's where real power comes from.”
