Was Dan Spilo really the first Survivor player to be ejected from the game?

Several past Survivor alums, including Russell Hantz, suggested that his nephew Brandon Hantz was ejected from in Season 26's Survivor: Caramoan in 2013, and that the vote for his elimination was faked after his ejection. Last week, Spilo was reported to be the first Survivor contestant to be ejected in the reality show's 39 seasons.
