Candy Coated Christmas, starring Ree Drummond, is not only Food Network's first Christmas movie but also its first scripted project. So why isn't it being shown on Food Network? Because Discovery doesn't want to confuse Food Network's audience. “A lot of what’s been working really, really well on Discovery+ is new iterations of talent and formats that people already love on linear,” says Kathleen Finch, Discovery, Inc. chief lifestyle brands officer. “We’re giving those super fans more of what they love.”
