"The casting application is much more interesting than the announcement," says Reality Blurred's Andy Dehnart, noting that the applications for both the CBS and Australian versions of the reality dating show asks similar questions: “What is your sexual orientation?” With “Heterosexual, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Pansexual, Asexual, Other” as options. "If The Real Love Boat has a cast with different sexual orientations, it’ll be a significant change in the dating space," says Dehnart. "Most shows are just straight men and straight women, with a show occasionally giving itself credit for casting a bisexual person."
