Younger expects to end with Season 7

“We are unofficially planning (Season 7) as a final season,” creator Darren Star tells TVLine. Younger's Season 6 finale was one year ago this month, and Star says filming on Season 7 was set to begin before the coronavirus shutdown. Star says he's trying to figure out how to incorporate the pandemic into Season 7, which is expected to begin in the coming weeks, even though a lot of episodes have already been written. Plus, he says, “the action of Younger sort of picks up where the last season left off, which was before the pandemic. But I do think we’re looking forward to incorporating it into the action as the season progresses.” If Younger does end, the show's spirit may carry on in a spinoff starring Hilary Duff's character.
