Everyone's favorite problematic principal is set to headline a new game show. Janelle James, the comedian and actress known for her role in Abbott Elementary, has been tapped to host The Final Straw, a Jenga-style game show on her home network of ABC.
The game show, which is executive produced by Peyton Manning, will feature four teams of contestants as they face off while combatting life-sized tipping towers. Like the classic game Jenga, contestants must pull items from the stack without knocking over the tower in order to win prizes. The last team standing will compete against The Mega Stack in hopes of winning a grand prize.
ABC describes The Final Straw as a "fresh and exciting format" that will capitalize on James' comedic timing. "I'm thrilled to be part of a series that is as silly and fun as I am," said James. "I'm looking forward to this opportunity to grow my relationship with ABC with my second comedy project on the network."
The Final Straw will air alongside fan-favorite ABC game shows Celebrity Family Feud and The $100,000 Pyramid every Sunday starting July 10.
