Al Roker Recovering After Being Hospitalized with Blood Clots

The Today show weather anchor had been missing from the NBC morning show for the past two weeks without explanation. The TV vet shared an update to his Instagram account with a photo of flowers. "So many of you have been thoughtfully asking where I've been," Roker wrote.
"Last week I was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in my leg which sent some clots into my lungs. After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery," he continued. "Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers and hope to see you soon. Have a great weekend, everyone."
Colleagues like Dylan Dreyer, Savannah Guthrie, and Deb Roberts all commented well wishes on Roker's post. "You’re the strongest person we know. We miss you and will see you soon!!" wrote Guthrie. "So grateful for the top notch medical care and prayer warriors from every corner," said ABC News anchor Deb Roberts. "Love you Al and praying every day for a speedy recovery!" added Dreyer.
Roker, 68, has been a Today staple full time since 1996. In September, he was briefly absent from the show after testing positive for COVID-19. Dylan Dreyer has been filling in for Roker during his recovery.
