Former bachelorette Andi Dorfman is concerned about ABC's decision to feature two leads on the upcoming season of The Bachelorette. For the first time in the franchise's history, Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia will co-headline the show as they search for love in Season 19.

Dorfman, who was the lead on the 10th season of The Bachelorette, told Entertainment Tonight, "I don't really love the fact that two women have to share the screen. I think we've progressed a little further. It's 2022."

"I want to be supportive because it's a franchise that literally put me here right now," she continued. "But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't bummed that it's two women... It gives me a little sexist vibe there that I don't really love."

However, Dorfman isn't opposed to similar changes for the men on The Bachelor, saying, "I'd like to see two men go at it."

Although Windey and Recchia are the first pair of Bachelorettes to be featured together for an entire season, theirs is not the first to include two women in the lead role. In 2020, the 16th season of The Bachelorette starred both Claire Crawley and Tayshia Adams. Crawley began the season alone but quickly got engaged to contestant Dale Moss after only four episodes, and Adams filled in for the remainder of the season.

The Bachelorette premieres July 11 on ABC.
