Armed man with inactive police credentials arrested ahead of Charlie Kirk memorial service at State Farm Stadium, Arizona

An armed man has been detained after he entered the Arizona stadium were Charlie Kirk's memorial service is set to take place on Sunday.

    Charlie Kirk's memorial service is set to take place in Arizona on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Some important figures including Donald Trump, JD Vance, and Donald Trump Jr., are expected to be present at the memorial service. Reports of an armed man being detained have surfaced, amid the heightened security in the area.

    The man reportedly claimed that he was associated with law enforcement agencies during his arrest on Friday. According to The Washington Post, the US Secret service said that the armed man was detained after he entered the State Farm Stadium, the venue where the memorial service is scheduled to take place. 

    The high-security event will reportedly be attended by conservative influencers and some top US officials, according to reports published in an article by Axios. The service "Building a Legacy: Remembering Charlie Kirk" will happen more than a week after Kirk was assassinated while he was taking up a student's question at Utah Valley University.

    Meanwhile, as far as the latest arrest is concerned, no additional details about the armed man have been revealed as of now. The motive behind him allegedly pretending to be a part of the law enforcement has also not been determined as of now.

    As previously mentioned, Charlie Kirk's memorial service is set to be held on Sunday and many significant people will be attended the event. A list of speakers at the memorial service has been dropped by Turning Point USA. The list includes names like:

    • Erika Kirk.
    • Donald Trump.
    • JD Vance.
    • Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
    • White House chief of staff Susie Wiles.
    • Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
    • Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
    • Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.
    • White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller.
    • Donald Trump Jr.
    • Tucker Carlson.
    • Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La).

    As far as the general public is concerned, the event is open to all and is free. However, according to The Hindustan Times, interested attendees must get themselves registered online to get a ticket to enter the stadium. It has also been revealed that the attendees will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis.

    According to reports by Axios, those who will not get space in the designated seating areas in the stadium will be shifted to the nearby Desert Diamond Arena. According to the Glendale Police Department's statement to ABC News, they are expecting more than 100K attendees at the event.

    With the prohibition of overnight parking, the parking areas will be opened at 7 am local time. Turning Point US further revealed that people carrying bags won't be allowed inside the stadium. According to reports, attendees should also avoid carrying weapons, explosives, outside food and drink, strollers, selfie sticks and bags.

    News18 further reported that the attendees have been urged to wear red, white, or blue to honor the political activist. Axios reported that, the doors of the venue will open for the event at 8 am local time. However, the actual program will start over two hours later, at 11 am local time. 


    Charlie Kirk's memorial will be livestreamed on the activist's Rumble account. MSNBC is set to cover the entire funeral, and ABC News Live will be livestreaming his service.
