Armie Hammer 'Preparing Himself' for Bombshell House of Hammer Allegations (Report)

Armie Hammer is steeling himself for the abuse allegations set to emerge in Discovery+'s three-part docuseries House of Hammer, sources close to the actor tell Entertainment Tonight.

According to ET's sources, Hammer is "trying to prepare himself as much as he can for the House of Hammer documentary," which details the sexual abuse and domestic violence allegations levied against the actor in recent years, as well as his family's dark history.

"He has an idea about what's coming," the source continued. "Despite this, Armie has been trying to move forward as much as possible emotionally speaking and in terms of his career."

After reportedly entering rehab in Florida last year, Hammer is "sober and has been committed to that," but the source added, "His friends are nervous that the documentary will crush him."

House of Hammer features in-depth interviews with two of Hammer's ex-girlfriends, Courtney Vucekovich and Julia Morrison, who claim they were abused by the Call Me By Your Name star. The trailer for the series reveals voicemails and messages allegedly from the actor that include descriptions of bondage, manipulation, and fantasies of cannibalism. Hammer has denied all allegations of assault and abuse.

The three-part series also features interviews with Casey Hammer, Armie's aunt, who serves as a producer on the project. "I've let the Hammers control me my whole life. It's time to stop," she says in the trailer. "I refuse to be silenced."

Given the explosive nature of the allegations, the House of Hammer trailer made headlines when it was released in mid-August. Source's tell ET that "the trailer dropping feels like a huge step back" for Hammer, as "it's difficult for him to have this be aired out again in the public eye especially since a family member of his is involved."

House of Hammer premieres Friday, September 2 on Discovery+.
