Brad Johnson, known for his role in Melrose Place, died on February 18 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 62. Johnson passed away as a result of complications from COVID-19, his representative, Linda McAlister confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
Johnson's on-screen career began in Marlboro Man commercials and Calvin Klein ads in the 1980s before he was cast in Steven Spielberg's 1989 film Always, in which he appeared opposite Richard Dreyfuss and Holly Hunter. After landing the role, Johnson acted in a number of other films and TV series, including Flight of the Intruder, TNT's Rough Riders, the Left Behind film series, and Fox's Melrose Place, among others. In Melrose Place, Johnson played Dr. Dominick O'Malley, a pediatrician at Wilshire Memorial Hospital who becomes romantically involved with Jo Reynolds (Daphne Zuniga).
Johnson is survived by his wife, Laurie, and their eight children, Shane, Bellamy, Rachel, Eliana, Eden, Rebekah, Annabeth, and William.
