Coldplay dedicates Nashville concert to Ozzy Osbourne as iconic rocker passes away at 76

    Rock band Coldplay, which performed at Nashville on Tuesday, July 22, dedicated its concert show to Ozzy Osbourne, the music legend who passed away at the age of 76 on Tuesday morning.

    According to a report by People Magazine, a fan captured video posted by an audience member present at the concert has been doing the rounds on the social media platform TikTok. The video from the concert captures the moment Coldplay member Chris Martin paid his heartfelt tribute to Osbourne at Nashville. Per the publication, Martin, while dedicating the concert to Osbourne, said,

    “We'd like to dedicate this whole show to the incredible genius, talent, and character called gift to the world who was Ozzy Osbourne. We send our love to his family.”

    The People Magazine noted that Coldplay’s tribute to the legendary frontman of the 70s rock band Black Sabbath did not merely limit itself to heartfelt words. Coldplay, while performing at the Nissan Stadium at Nashville on Tuesday, also performed a cover of Changes, a song that Black Sabbath released in 1972.

    As per the publication, at the end of Changes, Martin paid a special tribute to Osbourne by adding alternative lyrics, and said,

    The top position in terms of the world wide gross for a concert tour is held by Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, according to Guinness World Records.

    Fans of Coldplay are eager to see whether their favorite band is able to break the record set by Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. In this regard, it is important to mention here that there are still a few months to go before this historic tour by Coldplay concludes in London this September.
