David Letterman Posts Supercut of Beavis and Butt-Head's Late Show Appearances

The dumb-ass duo appeared on Letterman's CBS show multiple times between 1993-2011.
  • Timed to Thursday's Premiere of Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head series revival on Paramount+, David Letterman's YouTube channel has released a compilation of Late Show with David Letterman's many references to (and cross-over appearances with) Beavis and Butt-Head.

Letterman was an early fan of Mike Judge's animated doofuses, and it would seem the feeling was mutual. Judge frequently collaborated with the Letterman team at the height of Beavis and Butt-Head's stranglehold on youth culture, producing several special comedy bits with the duo for Letterman's Late Show.

A Season 4 episode of the original Beavis and Butt-Head titled "Late Night with Butt-Head" was even inspired by Letterman and includes a sequence where Butt-Head imagines he's David Letterman to Beavis' Paul Shaffer.

In 1994, Letterman appeared on screen with Beavis and Butt-Head for the first time in a pre-recorded bit for the 1994 Video Music Awards, a feat Judge and Letterman would repeat two years later when the duo were interviewed as "in person" Late Show guests.

Clips from each of these appearances are included in the just-posted supercut. Left out is the time Letterman returned the favor, voicing Butt-Head's dad in Judge's 1996 feature film Beavis and Butt-head Do America. For completeness, we've included it here:

Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head premieres on Paramount+ Thursday August 4th.
