Elizabeth Olsen has no idea how those House of the Dragon casting rumors got started.
"I don't know how things, like rumors like that, get started, and then people think they're legitimate," Olsen said, laughing. "Dream casting is fun, yeah, but I heard it was, like, announced though, which is weirder... I never heard of such a thing."
Even though she's heard nothing about this casting, Olsen did express interest in appearing in House of the Dragon if the opportunity arose. "I mean, sure, yeah. [I'd like do to] anything that's worth telling, that's a good story, that's innovative, that's great great characters."
Olsen, who auditioned to play Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones years ago, has become well-known for portraying Wanda Maximoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. WandaVision, her character's Disney+ TV spin-off, garnered eight Emmy nominations in 2021. The actress will next be seen in HBO Max miniseries Love and Death next year.
