Alanna Ubach, known for her role as Cassie and Lexi's messy mom, Suze, in HBO's Euphoria, is joining the cast of Ted as a series regular.
Based on the film franchise of the same name, Peacock's Ted series centers on the foul-mouthed teddy bear and his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), who lives in a working-class Boston home with his parents and cousin.
The comedy features Ubach as a different kind of Susan than her chaotic Euphoria character. In Ted, the actress will play Susan Bennett, a kind, selfless, and almost pathologically sweet mom who sees the world through naive, rose-colored glasses when it comes to her family.
Previously announced cast members include Seth MacFarlane — who also directs, writes, co-showruns, and executive produces — as the voice of Ted, as well as Burkholder, Giorgia Whigham (The Punisher, 13 Reasons Why), and Scott Grimes (Oppenheimer, The Orville).
