A new, fan-made Frasier trailer for the upcoming reboot turns the lighthearted '90s sitcom into a dark, psychological thriller in which Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) sets out to kill his brother Niles (David Hyde Pierce).
The trailer, uploaded by YouTube channel "MP Misc," includes the following description: "Frasier is back. Dr. Frasier Crane resurfaces after a 20-year absence, but with his return comes a reckoning that will alter not only the lives of those he once loved, but the very foundation of Seattle itself. Emmy Award winner Kelsey Grammer reprises his role as the renowned psychiatrist and radio personality in the chilling conclusion to the Frasier saga."
The viral video includes spliced together clips from the original series, with a darkly chilling rendition of the theme song sung by Grammer playing in the background.
Paramount+ announced a Frasier reboot series in February 2021. The original sitcom, which aired for 11 seasons from 1993 through 2004, is available to stream on Hulu.
