Greg Germann is donning his white coat once more.
The Ally McBeal vet will reprise his role as Tom Koracick on Grey's Anatomy, joining fellow alum Jesse Williams as Jackson Avery in the November 3 episode of the series. Germann first joined Grey's as the brilliant, confident neurosurgeon in Season 14, and remained on the show in a series regular role until Season 17, when he departed with Williams.
"Greg Germann is a comic genius and we are so lucky that he brought his talents to our show these last few years. We will miss Greg terribly in the day-to-day," showrunner Krista Vernoff said following Germann's departure. "But we plan to see Tom Koracick again!"
Germann returned to the show in a guest star capacity in a Season 18 episode, and will do the same alongside Williams in the upcoming November 3 installment. The episode will reportedly be set in Boston and see Germann reach out to Catherine (Debbie Allen) regarding a "personal matter" while Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) reconnects with Jackson in the same city.
Tom Koracick and Jackson Avery aren't the only two Grey's alums who have returned to the show this season; Kate Walsh's Addison Montgomery is also back for a handful of Season 19 episodes..
