HBO won the day at the 2022 Emmy Award nominations, earning 140 nods, the most of any network or streaming service.

Succession and The White Lotus dominated HBO and HBO Max's count with 25 and 20 nods, respectively. The White Lotus was also tied for second place with Apple TV+'s Ted Lasso, which earned 20 nominations, as well. Apple TV+ earned 51 nominations in total.

Netflix earned the second most nominations of any network, with 105 in total. However, this is the first year since 2013 that Netflix has been shut out of the Outstanding Comedy Series category, another sign of trouble at the once-dominant streamer.

Hulu earned 58 total nominations this year, far surpassing the network's previous record of 28. Only Murders in the Building earned 17 nods, while limited series Pam and Tommy emerged with 10.

Elsewhere in the streaming-verse, Disney+ earned 34 nominations, with Moon Knight getting eight nods. Prime Video received 30 — 12 of which were for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel — while FX had something of a down year with just 23, primarily divided between What We Do in the Shadows (7) and Impeachment: American Crime Story (5).

Paramount also earned 11 nods, while Peacock scored only three, all for Angelyne. Yellowjackets took the lead on Showtime, earning seven nominations out of the network's 17 total.

Meanwhile, on network television, NBC brought in 28 nominations, nine of which were for Saturday Night Live. Abbott Elementary (7) helped push ABC to 23 total nods, just six shy of CBS' 29 nominations. At the bottom of the totem pole was FOX, which earned just six nominations.

The 74th Emmy Awards air Monday, September 12 on NBC and Peacock.
