No, Princess Diaries Star Heather Matarazzo Isn't Gaten Matarazzo's Mom

It's time to put this question to rest... no, Heather Matarazzo of The Princess Diaries fame is not Gaten Matarazzo's mom.

Stranger Things fans have been curious for a while about whether the two actors are related, but Heather finally cleared things up in a viral TikTok video, which has been viewed nearly half a million times.

"I just wanted to clarify something, because I have been getting a number of messages regarding this," she said. "I absolutely adore Gaten Matarazzo. I absolutely adore him. I think he's brilliant. I think he's wonderful. But I cannot claim him as my son... because he is not."

Not only do Heather and Gaten have the same last name — Gaten's mother is also named Heather, so it's understandable that people are confused.

Heather ended the video by addressing Gaten directly, saying, "If you would like to help confirm this, that would be greatly appreciated."

"So yes," she concluded. "Love Gaten Matarazzo. Not my kid."
