Starz has renewed Shining Vale, starring Courteney Cox, Greg Kinnear, and Mira Sorvino, for a second season. Season 2 of the horror comedy will consist of eight episodes, with the Season 1 cast returning to reprise their roles.
Shining Vale follows Pat (Cox) and Terry Phelps (Kinnear), who move from a Brooklyn apartment to an old Victorian mansion in Connecticut in an attempt to save their marriage, much to the dismay of their teenage kids. Soon after, they realize the old house they've moved into is actually haunted.
“Sharon and I are thrilled to be able to tell the next eight chapters of the Phelps’ story — especially after the way we ended season one,” said Astrof, co-creator, executive producer, and showrunner. “Personally, I look forward to the crushing pressure of trying to raise the bar even further in Season 2. But we can do anything. After all, ‘We Are Phelps!’”
Shining Vale aired its Season 1 finale on April 17. The entire first season is available to stream on Starz.
