Two-time Academy Award-winning actress Jodie Foster is set to headline HBO's True Detective Season 4.
As reported by Variety, The Silence of the Lambs star will play Detective Liz Danvers in True Detective: Night Country, the fourth installment of the anthology series. The season follows Danvers as she works alongside Detective Evangeline Navarro in Ennis, Alaska to solve the mystery of six men who vanished without a trace at an arctic research station. The detectives will be forced to confront their inner darkness and dig into haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.
Although Foster is well-known for her leading roles in film, True Detective marks her first major acting role on television since 1975. In addition to starring, Foster will executive produce the new season of the HBO anthology.
The first three seasons of True Detective are available to stream on HBO Max.
