Production on FX's Justified: City Primeval was halted Wednesday night after two cars engaged in a gunfight drove through the set's barricades.

According to Deadline, the Justified revival was filming near Douglass Park in Chicago when two outside vehicles violently smashed onto the set. Cast and crew hit the ground and took cover during the incident, but no one was injured. Shell casings were later found on set.

Series star Timothy Olyphant was present on set when the incident occurred.

The Justified: City Primeval set remained closed Thursday and Friday, with production expected to resume on Monday, Deadline reports.

No information has been released yet as to the identity of the drivers in the gunfight, or about whether they were apprehended.

Primetimer reached out to FX for comment but did not hear back by the time of publication.

A spinoff of FX's acclaimed drama Justified, Justified: City Primeval follows U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Olyphant) as he leaves Kentucky for Miami, where he must balance life as a marshal with being a father to his 14-year-old daughter (played by Olyphant's real-life daughter, Vivian). The limited series is inspired by Elmore Leonard's crime novel "City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit."

Justified: City Primeval is slated to premiere in 2023.

Justified is available to stream on Hulu.
