Larry Storch, Veteran Comedy Actor Known For F Troop, Dead at 99

Television star Larry Storch has died at the age of 99. The actor was best known for his role as Corporal Randolph Agran on the 1960s sitcom F Troop.

His family confirmed his passing on his Facebook page, saying, "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share with you the news our beloved Larry passed away in his sleep overnight. We are shocked and at a loss for words at the moment."

The statement continued, "Please remember he loved each and every one of you and wouldn’t want you to cry over his passing. He is reunited with his wife Norma and his beloved F Troop cast and so many friends and family."

In 1965, Storch landed a role in the main cast of F Troop, a sitcom about U.S. soldiers and Native Americans in the Wild West during the 1860s. He played dimwitted sidekick Corporal Randolph Agran, earning an Emmy nomination for his performance. The series ran for two seasons on ABC, and Storch appeared in all 65 episodes.

After F Troop Storch continued to make a name for himself in the comedy world, booking parts on hit shows throughout the 1960s, '70s, and '80s including The Ghost Busters, The Love Boat, I Dream of Jeannie, and Fantasy Island.

In addition, Storch was a successful voice actor, voicing characters on shows like The Batman/Superman Hour, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Brady Kids, and Foofur.
