Latvian Eurovision Contestant Goes Viral with 'Veggies and P*ssy' Song

"Instead of meat, I eat veggies and p*ssy," sang Latvian pop band Citi Zēni as they began their performance in the Eurovision Song Contest semifinals. The group's NSFW song, "Eat Your Salad," entertained not just the live audience, but also fans around the world, as their performance quickly went viral on social media.

Chock full of not-so-subtle lyrics like, "I like them both fresh, like them both juicy," and "Bend over, then jiggle that peach. You’re recycling while I’m loving those cheeks," the song is a unique homage to taking care of the planet by eating a meatless diet. Although the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) made attempts to censor "Eat Your Salad," it was clear what Citi Zēni meant while singing, "Being green is sexy as f*ck." The audience also got in on the fun, filling in the words for lead singer Jānis Pētersons, who looked on with a lascivious grin.

Even Peacock host Johnny Weir was familiar with the song and its one of a kind message. "This song is really all about going green and, I suppose, the consumption of lots of salads," he quipped while introducing the band. "Well-rounded diets are super important."

The band previously told ESCUnited that Pētersons was inspired to write the song when he saw a T-shirt reading, “Instead of meat, I eat p*ssy,” and met a "hard-core vegan" on a cooking competition show who inspired him to think more about living green. Pētersons wanted to make the idea of being environmentally friendly not "depressing", but "sexy."

The resulting song may not be EBU friendly, but it certainly has viewers laughing and dancing, perhaps to the produce section.
