James Corden is showing off his serious side in the trailer for Mammals.
The Late Late Show host stars as Jamie Buckingham, a Michelin-starred chef whose world is turned upside down when he learns shocking secrets about his pregnant wife Amandine (Melia Kreiling). With the help of his brother-in-law Jeff (Colin Morgan), the truth begins to reveal itself, but their investigation also puts a strain on Jeff's marriage to Jamie's sister Lue (Sally Hawkins).
"If you had to choose three words to express your relationship, what would they be?" Jamie is asked in the trailer. "Confusion. Anger. Disbelief. Fury. Stupefaction. Trauma. Turmoil. And total astonishment," he replies.
Described by writer Jez Buttterworth (Ford v. Ferrari, Spectre) as "a relationship drama but also a whodunit", the darkly comedic six-part series also stars Henry Lloyd-Hughes (Killing Eve) and Samuel Anderson (Witless) and is directed by Stephanie Laing (Made for Love, Physical).
Mammals premieres on Amazon Prime Video November 11.
